Pump Assembly Mechanic

Excellent full-time opportunity for a pump mechanic or pump mechanic trainee at an industry leading industrial pump manufacturer. This position is located in Shreveport, LA and is only open to local candidates at this time - no relocation is available. Positions available on both first and second shifts in a climate controlled shop environment. Contract-to-hire opportunity.

Trainee:

1-2 years overall mechanical / vehicle / pump repair experience (not installation)

Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop, a plus

Must have a good set of basic hand tools

Mechanic:

3-6 years overall pump repair experience (not installation)

Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop
Repair experience on API type pumps
Familiar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation clearances
Extensive experience performing repair and rebuild on horizontal multistage pumps
2 years experience as Leadman in a pump repair setting is a plus
Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, calipers, depth gauges, etc.)
Must have a good set of hand tools

Physical Requirements:

Capable of lifting 50 - 75 lbs; can climb ladders; stand for long periods of time
