Location: Greater Philadelphia with an easy commute from South NJ and Wilmington due to proximity to I-95.  

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Take on diverse responsibilities typical of a Human Resources Business Partner, supporting a union and non-union workforce. Reporting to the HRBP Leader you will, 

  • Work alongside an experienced labor relations leaders to prepare for a smooth contract renewal process. You’ll participate in preparations and serve as second chair, interacting with a union that has a positive relationship with this employer.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner, contributing to the long-term strength of relationships with employees.
  • Contribute to various HR functions including employee relations, workforce planning, HR compliance, performance management, training, and HRIS data management, metrics, and reporting.
  • Manage grievance procedures and labor relations investigations.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and support to leadership and employees on HR matters.
  • Participate in an occasional on-call rotation, as needed.
  • (This is single site-support and there won't be substantial travel)

 

What You’ll Bring to the Job:

Bring your Human Resource experience supporting both union and non-union along with your enthusiasm and calm demeanor.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources or related field.
  • 10+ years of HR Generalist, Management, or HRBP experience   
  • 5+ years working in union labor relations, supporting 24/7 operations, ideally within Manufacturing or Logistics companies.
  • 5+ years as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner supporting employee relations in a hands-on and strategic capacity.
  • Must have direct experience with grievance dispute resolution and labor contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. (Experience with Paylocity is a plus)
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary Notes:  Midpoint is ~ $160k + 20% bonus targets (2 programs that have paid at or above target for many years.)

We will discuss the details at your career level because those with 10 years of experience may not qualify for the salary of someone with 20 years, and interviews will influence offers.
