We have been engaged by a repeat client and publicly traded manufacturer to find a leader to manage a large plant accounting team. This position is an in-person role managing a staff of 8-9 at a profitable facility located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The plant's revenue exceeds $275 million and the headcount is 600+. We are specifically looking for a mix of analytical skills, inventory experience and reporting with a minimum of 5 years experience, and leadership experience. This position reports to the Plant Director and the Corporate Finance executive team. Base compensation range, depending on experience is up to $185k, 15% annual target bonus with generous benefits and relocation assistance for an exceptional candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly close, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis
• Plant Level accounting, including full inventory accounting, both cost and physical inventory
• Take full charge of an ERP implementation, including testing, scrubbing and validating all data
• Preparation of budgets / forecasts, KPI tracking, and analysis required for actual results (e.g. volume, mix and price) that hit management deadlines
• Support the management team with Plant Level reporting to the Executive Leadership Team
• Manage external auditors as well as internal audit / SOX requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance or economics
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• CPA or CMA not required, but desired
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint, and ability to mine data
• Previous ERP system implementation is desired
