Our firm has been recruited by a large automotive manufacturer to find a Plant Buyer for their new facility in Lawrenceburg, TN. This business unit specializes in complex electronic parts that serve to regulate temperature for the batteries and engines of commercial EVs, and the Plant Buyer is responsible for managing a complex supply chain with 40-50 distinct suppliers, including international suppliers. The relationships are well-established, so you don't need to go out and source new suppliers, but building and maintaining strong relationships with the whole supply base is critical in a time of global supply chain disruption. Responsibilities

• Plan for material needs of manufacturing operations and purchase materials accordingly
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous material flow throughout the supply chain
• Monitor market trends to anticipate and prepare for potential supply chain disruptions
• Maintain inventory levels to avoid any disruptions to production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 2+ years experience in supply or material management in an industrial/manufacturing context
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Compensation

• $65-85k, plus generous benefits. We can go above and beyond the official salary range for a fantastic candidate.
