Our client, a leading manufacturer of automation solutions, is on the lookout for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team and support growth across a range of industrial applications. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere in the northeastern USA, with travel required to visit customers within your assigned territory.

 

The ideal candidate will be a motivated engineer with solid experience in technical sales, specifically in automation technology.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new sales opportunities to broaden the customer base in your region.
  • Manage your territory, which includes MA, NY, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME, PA, NY, DE, and MD.
  • Collaborate with a US and Germany-based technical engineering team to develop and execute advanced automation solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients in industries like automotive, electronics, 3D printing, and aerospace.
  • Oversee internal and external projects to guarantee timely and efficient delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive quotes tailored to meet customer needs.
  • Provide excellent customer support to cultivate long-term partnerships.
  • Act as the company representative at major trade shows and industry events to increase visibility and networking opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical, process, or mechatronics.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, with expertise in automation technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Readiness to travel frequently for client engagements, training sessions, and industry events.
