We are working with a Tier 1 supplier of plastic components to the automotive industry to find a Supply Chain Manager who will oversee plastic injection molding operations for their plant in upstate, SC.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Material Planning & Logisitics (MP&L), particularly within automotive manufacturing along with strong SAP skills.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supply chain strategies specific to the automotive industry.

Manage supplier, manufacturer, and logistics partnerships to ensure timely deliveries.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and resolve issues.

Track and assess supply chain metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
-
Forecast demand and manage inventory to align production schedules with optimal stock levels.
-
Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards.
-
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Prepare and present performance and progress reports to senior management.
Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience in supply chain management (automotive products)
-
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization methods.

Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a strong track record of building effective relationships.
-
Skilled in SAP, IQMS, and other supply chain software, with solid analytical abilities.
-
Understanding of industry regulations and quality standards (such as ISO/TS, IATF 16949).
-
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
-
Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and techniques.
- Minimal travel < 10%.
