Summary: 

The Plant Manager oversees daily operations to ensure the facility meets financial and operational goals while managing safety, production, maintenance, quality, and workforce coordination. 

 

Tasks: 

  • Oversee plant operations to optimize efficiency and maximize output. 

  • Lead and supports plant employees to ensure effective performance of their roles. 

  • Convey critical issues to senior leadership that may impact customer satisfaction or operations. 

  • Ensure all finished products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards. 

  • Manage the facility's financial health by overseeing budgets and controlling expenditure across all departments. 

  • Recommend capital projects aimed at enhancing safety, improving quality, increasing efficiency, or lowering costs. 

  • Compile comprehensive reports on plant utilization, labor productivity, material usage, and waste. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability by upholding safety, quality, production, and organizational policies. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain strong customer relationships. 

  • Coordinates production schedules and activities with direct reports to ensure on-time delivery. 

  • Encourages continuous improvement of culture to drive engagement and operational enhancements. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

  • Background in plastics / automotive manufacturing. 

  • Strong manufacturing leadership experience. 

  • Track record of driving results using key operational metrics. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively, develop talent, and manage business operations. 

  • Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, or Lean Master is preferred. 

  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing methods, quality control, and process improvement initiatives. 

  • Proficiency in budgets, financial statements, and cost management. 

  • Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound priority decisions. 

  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
