Our client is a global leader in automotive and electromobility innovation.  

Currently, the company is expanding its operations with a new state-of-the-art facility in the Upstate, SC—where advanced processes like steel stamping, welding, and injection molding will support groundbreaking production for major OEMs. 

Summary: 

The Facility and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.  

This role leads the maintenance team, manages external vendors, and ensures all equipment and systems operate optimally while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Tasks: 

  • Effectively lead, mentor, and coach the maintenance team 

  • Budget planning and tracking in the assigned area(s) 

  • Responsible for the achievement of defined targets (target deployment/KPIs) within the assigned area 

  • Perform CIP projects relating to maintenance in coordination with CIP Manager 

  • Establish and maintain a network of suppliers (e.g. spare part suppliers, service providers, equipment manufacturers) 

  • Manage and provide functional instruction to deployed staff, including the staff of contractual partners assigned to the buildings (e.g. plant security, cleaners) 

  • Optimize building operations (e.g. reducing material costs, optimizing the service provider quality) 

  • Develop strategies regarding building maintenance, the occupancy of office space, energy consumption and value retention) 

  • Participate in and coordinating conversion, new build and renovation work within the assigned remit, including project management 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field experience, preferred 

  • 5 years’ experience in facility and maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments 

  • Leadership experience 

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical guides and manuals 

  • Vendor management skills 

  • Proficiency in maintenance and management systems 

  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance
