Our client is a top-tier innovator in producing high-quality plastic components for the automotive industry.
They are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join their team at their plant Northeast of Atlanta, GA.
Tasks:
Diagnose and resolve automation system issues to reduce downtime and optimize equipment efficiency.
Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure all associated documentation is completed accurately and within established timelines.
Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to achieve production objectives.
Fabricate necessary repair components using available workshop equipment.
Identify and implement continuous improvements in automation processes.
Oversee the startup and commissioning of injection molding machines (IMMs).
Program and troubleshoot IMM robots to ensure smooth operation.
Program and maintain Kuka robotic systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues to maintain production flow.
Requirements:
Robot programming experience.
Injection molding experience.
2+ years of experience with electronics and pneumatic equipment.
Technical degree preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, robot programming, electronics, and pneumatics.
Proven ability to work effectively in teams, solve problems, and troubleshoot automation systems.
