Our client is a Tier 1 Automotive supplier specializing in the production of injection-molded components used in various vehicle systems, including interiors and exteriors. 

 

Summary: 

As Program Manager you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget, while adhering to regulations and company standards. You will oversee project teams, communicate objectives, and keep management informed of progress, ensuring confidentiality and fostering positive collaboration across departments. 

 

Tasks: 

  • Manage project success in terms of cost, quality, and timeliness. 

  • Define work packages, milestones, and create project plans and trackers. 

  • Act as the main point of contact for all project-related issues with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. 

  • Coordinate and supervise interdepartmental tasks to meet customer requirements. 

  • Participate in design discussions, meetings, cost negotiations, and installation tests. 

  • Support sales with tender preparation, cost calculations, and specifying machinery. 

  • Coordinate development and change processes, from planning to presentation of final components. 

  • Evaluate the economic viability of projects during preliminary stages. 

  • Manage tool changes and outsourced molding contracts as needed. 

  • Design and specify injection molds and testing equipment, and support industrialization. 

  • Identify new material suppliers to meet project requirements. 

  • Travel for customer and supplier visits. 

  • Prepare and document project guidelines, specifications, and status reports. 

  • Oversee logistical processes and monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones. 

 

Requirements: 

  • A degree in engineering, technical training, or a related field is preferred. 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. 

  • Extensive experience in project management. 

  • Experience working with German OEMs. 

  • Familiarity with plastic injection molding processes is preferred.  

  • Understanding of tooling technologies. 

  • Strong grasp of business economics principles. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and experience using customer portals for project updates. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
