Senior Backend Engineer

The Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

Design and implement backend systems, including ingestion pipelines, distributed carts/hosting, and multi-tenant applications.

Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment stability.
-
Mentor junior engineers on best practices, coding standards, and system design.

Contribute to architecture decisions impacting scalability, reliability, and performance of our platform.
Qualifications
Experience:
-
4+ years in production distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
-
Experience at top VC-backed startups or degrees from top CS programs.

Familiarity with scale-related infrastructure challenges (analytics, payments, event streaming, SaaS).
-
Founder or founding team experience is a plus.
Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, load balancers, caching, databases, APIs, high availability, redundancy, and fault tolerance.

Experience with asynchronous systems like Kafka, Clickhouse, or similar.

Comfortable in TypeScript/Node.js or willing to learn.

Product and customer-focused mindset, with an eye for design and user experience.
