Job Description

  • Lead daily operations across chemical handling, packaging, scheduling, and shipping
  • Supervise a team of 30–40 employees and oversee all aspects of production efficiency and safety
  • Implement and enforce OSHA, DOT, and internal safety standards
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase throughput and reduce waste
  • Manage raw materials, packaging inventory, and production planning
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions for quality and safety issues
  • Use KPIs and operational data to monitor and improve performance metrics
  • Train team members on best practices in safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and process upgrades
  • Report to the Site General Manager and contribute to strategic planning

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations management in a chemical or industrial environment
  • Proven experience working with hazardous chemicals and strict safety compliance
  • Strong leadership background with experience managing 30+ direct reports
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365) and inventory tracking tools
  • Strong communication, process improvement, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory requirements
