Our client in the linen and uniform service industry is currently seeking a Sales Manager to support their expanding San Antonio, Texas market.
 
Qualified candidates should have experience managing a team of hunters. Experience in the laundry, linen, and uniform service industry is preferred, and similar industries will also be considered.

Job Summary:The Sales Manager has overall responsibility for managing Territory Sales Reps and their efforts in establishing sales to new B2B accounts in the Greater San Antonio, TX market. This leader provides support and assists with lead generation, negotiations, sales activities, and service agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, train and motivate a sales team that is capable of meeting or exceeding all performance goals.
  • Establish and maintain an excellent sales prospecting system.
  • Spend field time with sales representatives in their territory for training purposes. Use field evaluation forms on each field day.
  • Ensure that each component of the sales process is operating at maximum efficiency to meet or exceed all new rental business goals.
  • Review daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure all sales objectives are met.
  • Develop an annual training plan for the entire sales department.
  • Know the strengths and weaknesses of our competition. Develop plans to market the company’s features to the benefit of prospects.
  • Anticipate potential performance issues and recruit appropriately to avoid vacant positions and territories.
  • Report to leader, on a weekly basis; sales performance, issues encountered with potential clients or operations.
  • Develop marketing plans in order to support the sales staff. Including but not limited to samples merchandise, pamphlets and brochures.
  • Attend marketing events such as trade shows in order to promote sales efforts.
  • Develop and maintain an effective lead gathering system.
  • Review all agreements prior to superior’s approval.
  • Develop / assist in large accounts that may require extra resources.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in sales management, with proven field sales experience and results.
  • Experience managing a team of hunters and business developers (not account managers)
  • Experience in the laundry, linen or uniform service industry is a huge plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Effective communication skills. Must work well under pressure.  Lead subordinates toward the sales goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales software programs.
