We are seeking commercial laundry equipment experienced candidates for an Engineering Project Manager role with a growing company that manufacturers, sells, and services industrial laundry equipment for linen service or uniform service plant clients in the USA.

*INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED*

Region/Travel: Seeking candidates located in the USA, preferably near a major airport. Travel will be 30-50%. Remote work from a home office for the remainder.

Job Summary:

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing turnkey capital projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and contractual agreements. Your role will involve coordinating installation and commissioning activities for PLC-controlled equipment, liaising with subcontractors for necessary services, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to meet project requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to facility layout designs and resolve technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project work plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer requirements.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contracts to facilitate timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to procure necessary resources and services for project implementation.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including facility layout designs and technical specifications.
  • Delegate responsibilities to project personnel, providing clear direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Address technical challenges and customer inquiries promptly, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to find effective solutions.
  • Prepare project reports for top management, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to resolve technical issues related to equipment design, installation, and performance.
  • Provide cost estimates for turnkey project elements to support sales quotations and proposals.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience with industrial laundry equipment (in either plant engineering/maintenance or the equipment manufacturing/distribution) sector.
  • Proficiency with PLC-controlled equipment and exposure to equipment maintenance practices.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD to review and update plant layout drawings is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel nationally, between 30-50% of the time.
  • Valid passport, driver's license, and clean driving record.
