We're seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to manage our self-funded benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering best-in-class services to our valued employees.

Healthcare experience is NOT required. We are looking for a strong leader with exceptional benefits knowledge.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct and coordinate all aspects of Northside Hospital's benefits programs, focusing on cost-effective solutions and employee satisfaction.
  • Program Management: Manage employee and retiree health and welfare benefits, developing and implementing strategies to achieve short- and long-range objectives.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze program metrics, research trends, and benchmark data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Vendor Management: Act as a liaison with carriers, vendors, and consultants, participating in negotiations and managing contracts.
  • Wellness Initiatives: Establish and manage wellness programs to improve employee health and reduce costs.
  • Compliance: Ensure ERISA and Section 125 compliance, staying up-to-date on regulatory standards.
  • Communication & Education: Oversee benefits communication projects, manage the benefits call center, and design and deliver enrollment and educational materials.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage benefits and call center staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the health and welfare budget and invoicing for benefits plans.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Perform due diligence, analysis and coordination on acquisitions, mergers and divestitures specific to benefits.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in health and welfare benefits development, coordination, and compliance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Expert knowledge of benefits regulations and government reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of self-funded benefits programs.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and benefits administration.
  • Exceptional management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration.
  • SPHR or CEBS certification.
