Our client has an immediate need for a highly driven and energetic and personable Software Quality Engineer to work with our talented development team. This is a 6-month contract to permanent assignment and the role is 100% remote.

Job Summary:

The qualified candidate will create and maintain a library of automated tests, and create end-to-end coded UI tests. The candidate will participate in production testing as the application progresses through the environments, and after a release. Testing will be performed by load and stress. The qualified candidate will interface with Customer Business Analysts and other QA personnel to ensure automated tests are testing all relevant areas.

Responsibilities:

• Design and document test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
• Create and maintain a library of automated tests for end-to-end application functionality and regression testing
• Facilitate end-user testing sessions
• Conduct load/stress and 508 compliance testing
• Document software defects using a bug tracking system
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function
• Collaborate with developers to resolve findings
• Develop testing programs/data that address areas like database, software scenarios, regression testing
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
• Test system modifications before and after implementation
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track and report successes
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards

• Create or maintain databases of known test defects

Requirements:

• S. citizen who is able to pass a background check.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of five years of testing experience
• Strong 508 compliance testing experience
• Strong Azure knowledge; certification is a plus
