We are seeking an ASCP-certified Cytotechnologist to join our high-complexity, CLIA-certified molecular testing laboratory. This role is responsible for screening gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, ensuring diagnostic accuracy, and supporting FISH testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen gynecologic PAP smears and non-gynecologic specimens for cancer, precancerous conditions, and inflammatory changes.
  • Perform slide scanning, probe signal scoring, and documentation for FISH testing.
  • Review specimens for quality and accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and molecular pathology teams on testing and reporting.
  • Maintain turnaround times and participate in quality assurance/improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
  • ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist (required).
  • Meets CMS, NJSDHSS, and NYSDOH standards.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
