We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Oncology Specialist to join our team. This field-based role requires an individual with a strong background in oncology sales and strategic account management, with a focus on precision oncology testing. The position offers the flexibility of full remote work and involves covering a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption and increase the volume of precision oncology testing in your assigned territory through the activation of new accounts and up-selling existing ones.
  • Identify and close new prospects within community oncology and academic cancer centers, maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare providers to build consensus on complex molecular pathways.
  • Develop and integrate workflows and clinical pathways for oncology centers into molecular EMR systems.
  • Work closely with clinical, pathology, and hospital account executives to support a collaborative sales approach.
  • Engage with thought leaders and strategic accounts within the oncology community to foster development and implementation of clinical workflows.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including medical affairs, operations, customer experience, IT, and billing, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct meetings and in-services with targeted physicians and accounts.
  • Stay informed on precision oncology specialty testing and provide expertise in this area.
  • Attend national and regional oncology educational meetings to engage with physicians and promote awareness.
  • Strategically manage account relationships to drive testing adoption.
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Complete all administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.

Required Experience:

  • Proven track record in closing new business and expanding relationships in complex customer environments such as health systems, academic cancer centers, and large oncology groups.
  • Minimum of five years in strategic account management within health systems or multi-physician groups.
  • At least three years of sales or account management experience in oncology biotech, lab, pathology, or diagnostics, with experience in launching new products.
  • Experience in securing product or therapy adoption through formulary or committee approval processes.
  • A history of award-winning sales and/or account management performance.
  • Preferred experience in molecular oncology testing or biopharma therapy with companion diagnostics.
  • A strong hunter mentality is essential.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
