Job Title: Territory Sales Representative - Medical Device (Outside Sales)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

We are seeking a motivated and consultative Territory Sales Representative to join a leading company in the medical device / durable medical equipment (DME) industry. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your territory by building strong relationships with healthcare providers, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering solutions that improve patients’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales within assigned territory, achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Conduct face-to-face product demonstrations with healthcare providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong consultative relationships with providers, clinical staff, and decision-makers.
  • Perform regular market assessments (customer activity, competitor insights, product trends) and report findings.
  • Apply strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage pipeline, forecasting, and territory strategy.
  • Utilize CRM and reporting tools to track activity, analyze performance, and drive results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (inside sales, marketing, customer support) to maximize customer success.
  • Travel frequently within territory, including overnight stays, using both air and ground transportation.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 15+ years of direct DME sales experience.
  • 2–5 years of consultative sales experience (healthcare preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift/transport demo equipment.
  • Strong listening skills and ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years of DME or healthcare sales experience.
  • Consultative sales training (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Integrity, Miller Heiman).
  • Experience selling complex healthcare products across multiple stakeholders.
  • Recognition for sales success (President’s Club, Top 10% award, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly, resolve conflicts, and influence decisions.
  • Future leadership potential (desire/ability to grow into a Regional Sales Manager role).
