Position Title: Business Development Executive 
Location: Candidate must reside in Texas (Dallas or Houston area preferred). This is a field-based role with regional travel across the Southern Mid-America Territory.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to oversee the Southern Mid-America territory, historically one of the strongest-performing regions. This individual will be responsible for driving new business development across hospitals, health systems, and specialty physician groups, with a focus on oncology and molecular diagnostics. The BDE will serve as the primary point of contact for new customers until accounts are fully onboarded and transitioned to account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas by selling a portfolio of oncology and molecular diagnostic solutions.
  • Engage new hospitals and health systems, including Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, Neuro-oncologists, and Medical Oncologists.
  • Manage all aspects of new account setup, pricing negotiations, vendor approval, and onboarding.
  • Deliver technical presentations, communicate clinical utility, and secure commitment from key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal operations, marketing, and account management teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions in CRM systems and provide timely competitive insights to leadership.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, urgency, and integrity in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in IVD, molecular diagnostics, or laboratory testing sales (oncology or NGS experience highly preferred).
  • Proven track record of success selling into hospitals and health systems.
  • Experience managing large territories, including overnight travel.
  • Technical proficiency with CRM platforms, Excel, and other business applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and territory growth.
