Overview:

Join a reputable pathology group in the Northeast as a dedicated General Surgical Pathologist. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with board certification or eligibility in pathology, aiming to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. While subspecialty expertise is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and sign out a variety of surgical pathology cases.
  • Conduct intraoperative consultations, including frozen sections, and oversee gross examinations.
  • Engage actively in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical meetings.
  • Work in tandem with colleagues to deliver precise and timely diagnoses.
  • Adhere to CAP, CLIA, and institutional quality standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance, ongoing education, and peer reviews.
  • Optionally, contribute to the teaching of residents, fellows, or students and engage in research activities.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in AP or AP/CP.
  • Completion of a recognized pathology residency program.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., GI, GYN, breast, head and neck, or cytopathology) is preferred.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Northeastern United States.
  • Strong diagnostic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Dedication to high-quality patient care and effective team collaboration.

  • Experience in a high-volume surgical pathology setting.
  • Interest in enhancing lab operations and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to efficiently manage workload while ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
