We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility. This role demands a proactive professional who will provide leadership and technical expertise in occupational safety and health (OSH) to enhance our safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire a zero-incident safety culture through effective communication and risk management strategies.
• Administer the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) information and oversee the Hazard Communication program.
• Conduct health risk assessments, including PPE, ergonomic evaluations, and exposure monitoring.
• Support and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert guidance on accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and hazard management.
• Deliver engaging safety and health training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Perform trend analysis from safety observations, incidents, audits, and inspections to guide improvements.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and manage site safety permits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety compliance within manufacturing or chemical processing environments.
• A strong ambition to obtain the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is preferred.
