We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Supervisor to ensure a safe and compliant working environment at our manufacturing facility in Miami, Florida. This role demands a highly skilled individual with a robust understanding of health and safety protocols, particularly within an industrial setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site health and safety matters, collaborating with leadership to implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, state laws, and corporate safety standards by conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Lead thorough incident investigations, utilizing root cause analysis to develop preventative measures.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to reinforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
  • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive safety training programs, including new employee orientation and ongoing safety development initiatives.
  • Oversee management of workers’ compensation claims and support the development of return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date safety records, reports, and documentation for both internal use and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with environmental teams to conduct required testing and support inspections.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness planning and lead safety committee initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in safety leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and expertise in safety auditing practices.
  • Experience in facilitating training sessions and leading investigative processes.
  • OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in safety documentation and management systems.
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate operational and safety priorities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
