Position Details:

  • Full-time, direct hire position.
  • Day shift at a pediatric outpatient clinic.
  • Located in Elmira, NY, within the scenic Finger Lakes region.

Role Summary:

Join a dedicated team of pediatric physical therapists, where your primary responsibility will be to design and implement individualized treatment programs. You will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and report to the Clinical Coordinator of Rehab Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical conditions and needs.
  • Develop and manage tailored exercise and treatment plans, adjusting as necessary to improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on the use of mobility aids and assistive devices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including treatment plans and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold or be eligible for a Physical Therapy license in New York State at the time of hire.
  • Preferably experienced in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to exert substantial physical effort, including lifting up to 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance.
