Join our team as a full-time Trusts and Estates Administration Paralegal, based in Smithtown. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates administration. This role requires collaboration with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and accountants, demanding strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, particularly in Excel. A Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of trusts and estates administration.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of Surrogate’s Court rules and procedures, including probate, administration, and accounting proceedings.
  • Prepare estate tax returns, with familiarity in this area being a plus.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with large, document-intensive cases.
  • Proficiency in Lexis, Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
  • A proactive team player who takes initiative and pride in maintaining client relationships.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $95,000, adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors.
