Join an esteemed design firm as a Group Manager for Structural Inspections, where you will play a vital role in overseeing a team of skilled inspectors and project managers. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a variety of large-scale DOT inspection projects across multiple states. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 15 inspectors and project managers on diverse DOT inspection projects, including above-water, climb, underwater, and timber inspections.
  • Provide expertise in structural inspections, ensuring high-quality execution and compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee the development and training of team leaders and junior project managers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in structural inspections, conducting quality control checks and ensuring precision in project delivery.
  • Engage in occasional travel to perform field inspections and support project quality assurance.
  • Supervise AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting processes for inspection reports.
  • Assist in business development efforts, nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach engineering and technical staff, guiding them towards career development and professional excellence.
  • Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols across projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience, with a focus on project management.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) certification required.
  • Completion of NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges (80-hour course).
