Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care, adhering to nursing standards and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Oversee LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations of patient conditions
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and achieve patient-centered outcomes
- Ensure safety principles are applied in all aspects of care
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in unit-based communications such as handoff reports and huddles
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance care quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- RN license approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing or eligibility to obtain a multi-state license prior to start
- Open to new graduates; experienced nurses should have at least two years of recent acute care experience
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification required
- BSN preferred, minimum Associate's degree required
- Flexibility to work all shifts
- Experience with admissions, discharges, and patient monitoring
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
