Compensation: $120K-$130K + 12-15% Bonus, Full Relocation, Advancement Opportunities

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer to enhance the performance and reliability of rotating equipment assets. This role involves leading reliability programs and managing system reliability risks to optimize asset value and ensure safe equipment operation.

Key Outcomes:

  • Drive measurable improvements in equipment performance, aligning with business objectives such as energy usage, reliability, and quality.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on rotating equipment projects from initial engineering to maintenance.
  • Implement industry-leading reliability principles to address and close reliability gaps.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and productivity by identifying key projects with positive business impacts.
  • Utilize advanced reliability technologies to enhance manufacturing processes and equipment performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and measure equipment performance expectations.
  • Apply best reliability tools such as RCFA and FMEA to improve asset effectiveness.
  • Monitor KPIs for proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance tasks and evaluate performance improvements.
  • Oversee major overhauls and precision repairs of critical rotating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct root cause failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with production teams to enhance reliability and asset availability.
  • Provide engineering expertise for capital projects and equipment selection.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies.

Team Structure:

This position reports to the Reliability Manager and collaborates with Engineers, Specialists, and Vibration Technicians.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience in a reliability engineering role.
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in the chemicals, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading rotating equipment programs and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.

Required Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of rotating equipment design, application, and repair.
  • Understanding of industry best practices and engineering principles.
  • Experience with overhaul and repair of compressors, turbines, pumps, and specialty equipment.
  • Proficiency in predictive technologies such as vibration analysis and lubrication analysis.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate equipment economics.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and communicate the business impact of reliability improvements.
