Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and manage hotel operations in Japan. As the Japan Country Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational performance, guest satisfaction, and strategic growth across multiple properties. This position requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and a proven track record in hotel management and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with Hotel Managers and General Managers to formulate and implement strategies that drive revenue, enhance guest experiences, and reduce operational costs.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all properties maintain brand standards and deliver consistent, high-quality service. Lead pre-opening strategies for new hotel projects.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budget development and management, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability of all hotels. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Human Resources Management: Supervise recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff, fostering a motivated and empowered team environment. Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel actions as needed.
  • Compliance and Legal: Ensure all hotels adhere to local laws and regulations, obtaining necessary licenses and permits.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, and other key stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction with hotel performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze hotel performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation to keep hotels competitive and relevant in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in hospitality, tourism management, or related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience as a General Manager in a hotel, or 9 years in related management roles.
  • Experience in hotel openings, management, or repositioning is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in business development, revenue management, and sales & marketing strategies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in financial accounting and personnel supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Excellent computer and system skills.
