A high growth printing and kitting company located in Indianapolis has an opening on their team for a Digital Prepress Coordinator.  This role plays a key role in preparing and managing print-ready files for both internal and outsourced digital printing projects. This position ensures quality control, supports variable data printing, and maintains imaging assets for client ordering platforms. The DPC also serves as a backup for the Print Operator when needed.

Digital Prepress Coordinator Key Responsibilities

Internal Prepress

  • Prepare print-ready files for internal digital presses.
  • Generate and verify job tickets for accuracy.
  • Review and approve initial print runs before PM team submission.

Outsourced Prepress (MPS Team)

  • Ensure artwork aligns with client brand guidelines.
  • Package files with all necessary assets or high-resolution PDFs.
  • Create die lines for printers and agencies.
  • Upload artwork to third-party vendors using variable data programs.

Variable Data Printing (Fusion Pro)

  • Develop Fusion Pro templates for one-off and recurring variable print jobs.
  • Maintain and update templates for daily/weekly marketing programs.
  • Review and approve variable print jobs based on job ticket criteria.

Client Ordering Site Imaging

  • Capture product images via scanning or photography for client portals.
  • Ensure 24-hour turnaround for image uploads.
  • Manage imaging across all client accounts.

Digital Prepress Coordinator Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop & InDesign)
  • Experience with Pitstop Pro and Fusion Pro (or similar variable data software)
  • Strong photography skills
  • Solid understanding of prepress standards (CMYK, RGB, bleed, brand compliance)
