CMM Programmer

What You’ll Do as a CMM Programmer:
As a CMM Operator/Programmer, you’ll perform dimensional inspections on production parts, first articles, and samples to verify compliance with engineering specifications. Depending on your experience level, this role may involve running existing CMM programs, developing new programs, conducting advanced quality studies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
CMM Operation & Dimensional Inspection

Operate CMM equipment to inspect production parts, first articles, and prototypes

Load/unload parts, set up fixtures, and execute established CMM programs
-
Document, interpret, and report inspection results
-
Escalate nonconformances to Quality or Engineering teams
Programming & Advanced Quality Functions (based on experience)

Develop, optimize, and validate CMM programs from CAD models and drawings
-
Perform capability studies, first article inspections, and PPAP documentation
-
Analyze GD&T results and prepare detailed dimensional reports
-
Train and mentor operators on CMM equipment and inspection practices
General Quality Support

Maintain CMM equipment calibration, cleanliness, and accuracy
-
Support root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement efforts
-
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years in manufacturing or quality inspection
-
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
-
Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
-
CMM operation experience required; CMM programming strongly preferred
-
Familiarity with ISO/IATF 16949 standards a plus

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
