Leading manufacturer of automotive parts and they have an opening on their team for a Purchasing Buyer.  This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring components and tooling in alignment with established purchasing policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in supporting production launches and implementing design changes for both new and existing items.

Buyer Key Responsibilities

• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers
• Review purchase requisitions, evaluate costs, and generate purchase orders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams led by Program Management to support production start-up and design changes
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
• Maintain clear and professional communication with suppliers and internal departments
• Participate in supplier visits and onboarding activities as needed

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; alternatively, high school diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in navigating various computer programs
• Experience working in fast-paced office or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus
