Your Role as a Locum Medical Physicist:

πŸ”Ή Provide Expert Oversight – Ensure accurate calibration, quality assurance, and radiation safety in a variety of oncology treatment settings.πŸ”Ή Perform Comprehensive QA – Conduct routine and annual quality assurance testing on linear accelerators (Varian, Elekta, or CyberKnife), treatment planning systems, and radiation therapy equipment.πŸ”Ή Support Radiation Oncology Teams – Work closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to optimize treatment plans and ensure precision in patient care.πŸ”Ή Maintain Compliance & Safety – Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, AAPM standards, and facility protocols.πŸ”Ή Adapt to Diverse Environments – Quickly integrate into new clinical settings, providing high-level physics support in both small and large-scale healthcare facilities.

What We’re Looking For:

πŸ”Ή Board-Certified Medical Physicists – Must be ABR or ABMP certified with proven experience in clinical radiation oncology physics.πŸ”Ή Experienced Locum Professionals – Prior locum tenens, contract, or consulting experience is highly preferred.πŸ”Ή Extensive Equipment & Software Knowledge – Proficiency with Varian, Elekta, CyberKnife, TomoTherapy, MOSAIQ, Eclipse, RayStation, or similar systems.πŸ”Ή Strong QA & Compliance Background – Expertise in machine calibration, dosimetry, shielding design, and radiation safety protocols.πŸ”Ή Adaptability & Independence – Ability to quickly acclimate to new clinical environments, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
