Kitchen Designer

Location: Colorado | Job Type: Part Time - Approximately 15 hours / week.  Compensation Range: $35-50 per hour DOE.

We’re currently seeking a talented and passionate Kitchen Designer to join a growing team in Colorado. If you’re looking for a rewarding role where your designs have real impact—and you enjoy guiding clients from concept to completion—this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Opportunity

This role focuses on creating stylish, customized kitchen spaces tailored to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and lifestyle. You’ll work closely with clients, vendors, and installation teams to ensure designs are executed flawlessly, with both creativity and precision.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Designer, you will:

  • Meet with clients to understand their vision, goals, and lifestyle needs

  • Develop layout plans, 2D/3D renderings, and finish schedules using design software (Revit, AutoCAD, 20/20, or Compusoft Winner)

  • Create detailed cabinetry and installation plans, including elevations and material specifications

  • Prepare and present design proposals, material samples, and pricing quotes

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project timeline

  • Oversee projects from design through installation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and client satisfaction

  • Maintain organized project files, documentation, and ongoing communication with all stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience using CAD software (Revit, AutoCAD, 20/20, Compusoft Winner a plus)

  • Previous experience in kitchen design and a strong understanding of space planning and cabinetry layout

  • 2+ years in a sales or client-facing design environment

  • Knowledge of cabinetmaking, finishes, materials, and general construction practices

  • Strong ability to read architectural plans and create detailed technical drawings

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Respect for diverse client preferences, budgets, and design styles

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field

  • Experience working with the metric system

  • Familiarity with the details and nuances of kitchen construction

Compensation 

Hourly pay between 35-50 per hour, based on performance and experience.  Open to more for the right person.   Ideal for motivated designers who enjoy the rewards of client-focused sales and creative freedom.
