Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented and highly motivated Trust & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its Estate Planning Practice Group in Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management to work with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from an ABA-approved law school with a strong academic record.

Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Timely bar admission will be a condition of employment.

1–4 years of substantive experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning.
- Exposure to drafting complex estate planning and business succession documents for high-net-worth individuals.
- Familiarity with gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning strategies.
- Experience assisting with probate proceedings for both taxable and non-taxable estates.
- Exposure to processing Federal gift and estate tax returns.
- Background in charitable giving structures and tax-exempt organization planning.
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation strategies.
- Draft wills, trusts, business succession planning documents, and charitable giving instruments.
- Provide counsel on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters.
- Assist with estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings and tax compliance.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to develop innovative estate planning solutions for clients.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $225,000–$310,000, as determined by experience and market factors, and the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
