HEALTH CARE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY / MID- TO SENIOR-LEVEL

Location: Tampa, FL

 

Our client, a premier AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a skilled Mid- to Senior-Level Associate Attorney to join its distinguished Health Care Practice Group in Tampa. This is a compelling opportunity to work alongside industry leaders on complex health care regulatory and transactional matters for a diverse client base that includes physician practices, digital health companies, private equity investors, and other stakeholders in the health care and life sciences space.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing.

  • 4–6 years of substantive experience in health care regulatory and transactional law (candidates with up to 8 years of experience will also be considered).

  • Deep knowledge of federal and state health care regulatory frameworks and how they intersect with transactions and operational matters in the health care industry.

  • Demonstrated experience advising health care clients on a range of matters, including compliance, structuring, and execution of transactions.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.

  • Prior AmLaw 100 experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring junior associates and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, writing, and client-relations skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent a variety of health care clients, including physician groups, telehealth companies, private equity firms, and emerging health and life sciences businesses.

  • Advise on regulatory compliance matters involving federal and state laws, including fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, and licensing regulations.

  • Structure and negotiate health care transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, and investments.

  • Draft and review a wide range of agreements and transactional documents, tailored to the specific regulatory needs of health care clients.

  • Provide strategic counsel on business matters impacting the health care industry, including evolving digital health regulations and enforcement trends.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver seamless client service.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive compensation: includes an annual salary range of $290,000–$390,000, as determined by experience, and the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
