ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - MID TO SENIOR LEVEL

A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Projects & Energy practice group, with a focus on energy transition financing. This is a key role supporting sophisticated transactions in a cutting-edge practice advising on the development of renewable energy projects and data center projects across the U.S. and internationally.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.

  • 4+ years of substantive experience in energy transition financing, including handling project finance or other financings related to energy transition or digital infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation, and coordinating complex deal closings.

  • Proven ability to independently lead transactions, interact with clients, and mentor junior team members.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with sophisticated institutional clients.

  • AmLaw Experience: Relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is strongly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage transactions related to the financing of energy transition projects and data center projects.

  • Draft and negotiate key financing documents, including loan and security documentation, and conduct related diligence.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., tax, environmental, M&A, regulatory) to structure and close complex deals.

  • Stay current with evolving energy policy and regulatory changes impacting project finance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $310,000 – $435,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors. Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available.
