Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a junior-to-mid-level Associate Attorney to join their thriving Real Estate Finance Practice Group in AtlantaChicagoDallas, or Denver. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney who's interested in engaging with some of the largest structured commercial real estate finance transactions in the nation.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a Top Tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 2–6 years of broad real estate finance experience working at a large law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience with loan origination work for large-scale commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity
  • Experience with asset management and workouts is also required.
  • High proficiency in executing transactions on behalf of lenders, including secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute transactions from inception through post-closing.
  • Ambitious Team Player: A strong drive to excel and contribute to the growth of the national practice, while thriving in a supportive team environment.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as well as a strong business acumen and meticulous attention to detail.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale real estate finance transactions from inception to post-closing, including loan origination, mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Manage assets and support workouts for commercial real estate clients.
  • Run transactions on behalf of lenders and advise on exit strategies, including secondary market repurchase facility work.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practices to provide comprehensive client support.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships, building on the firm's established national practice.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $240,000–$390,000, depending on experience and market factors, in addition to eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
