CIVIL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Location: Richmond, VA

 

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking a highly-motivated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Richmond. This role provides an exciting opportunity to handle a range of sophisticated civil litigation matters, working on cutting-edge legal issues for interesting clients across multiple industries.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in Virginia.

  • 5–9 years of substantive experience in litigation, including professional liability, employment defenseproducts liabilityaccountinglegal malpracticefinancial services litigation, architects & engineers and/or general construction litigation.

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Desire to be part of a busy national practice, demonstrating initiative and the ability to assume responsibility for matters.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a large, collaborative team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters across various practice areas.

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on risk mitigation and dispute resolution.

  • Work closely with clients to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services.
