Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join their high-performing Energy and Infrastructure Practice in San Francisco, New York, Houston, or Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to work with a globally integrated team on high-impact projects spanning project finance, tax equity, and M&A in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
3–5 years of substantive experience in energy and infrastructure project finance, tax equity, and/or M&A at a major law firm.
Experience working with sponsors, developers, utilities, or lenders on renewable and conventional energy projects.
Familiarity with financial modeling, tax equity structures, and financing documents is a plus.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and work effectively with cross-functional deal teams.
A client-service mindset, collaborative attitude, and eagerness to take on increasing responsibility.
Represent clients in all stages of energy and infrastructure project development and financing, including structuring and negotiating project finance and tax equity deals.
Advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships related to renewable energy, conventional power, and energy transition technologies.
Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, including credit agreements, equity documents, and project contracts.
Work closely with tax, regulatory, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to a high-performance, team-oriented practice culture.
