W2 CONTRACT - GC/USC

ST. PETERSBURG, FL

Responsibilities

Design and develop cloud-based applications using Python and AWS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Implement automated testing and continuous integration processes.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Monitor and administer cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
Demonstrate strong architecture and design skills building high-performance APIs using AWS services and Python.
Rapidly iterate on product ideas, build prototypes, and participate in proof of concepts
Collaborate with internal and external teams in trouble shooting functional and performance issues
Work with DevOps Engineers to integrate any new code into existing CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Python and AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services (AWS).
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
5+ years of experience in software development
5+ years of hands-on experience developing high performance APIs & Web applications
5+ years of experience in building APIs using AWS services, specifically using Python, Lambda and API gateway
