SR. AZURE CLOUD ENGINEER

W2 CONTRACT - GC/USC

Our client is seeking a Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer for a W2 contract position.

Duties:

Designing and developing Azure services and foundational templates using Azure Landing Zones and Terraform.
Research and provide best practices for Azure cloud services (AKS, VNet, Object Storage, SQL Server, etc).
May lead projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy, and delivering results on time.
Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.
Provide security recommendations on solution design and service usage Manage cryptography and encryption of data available in the cloud.

Skills:

Knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based networking, firewalls, and network security.
Advance knowledge of Azure services, including AKS and Azure Active Directory.
Basic knowledge of Linux administration, particularly, Ubuntu Server, Red Hat, and CentOS
Experience writing in at least one coding languages (Python, Go, Bash, Groovy, etc.) in addition to IaC (Terraform).
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines or Stack Orchestration processes
Experience with Git based source code management tools
Experience with Agile / Scrum planning tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).

Education: BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred.
