Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Join a veteran-owned ambulance company with values to serve their employees as well as the community. Serving Southern Michigan for over a decade, they provide emergency response, routine medical transportation, and wheelchair services.

Role Summary

We are looking for a passionate Accounting Clerk to join the team! You will work with the Accounting Department, assisting in general accounting functions to ensure business revenue, efficiencies, and vendor satisfaction. We are looking for someone with a high degree of attention to detail, strong analytic abilities, and 2-3 years experience in accounts payable and general accounting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices.
  • Perform data entry associated with AP
  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Address and Respond to Vendor inquiries.
  • Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Other office duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates degree in accounting preferred.
  • 2-3 year experience.
  • Proficient in Excel and Quickbooks.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principals.
