Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive support to attorneys during all phases of litigation.
  • Draft, prepare, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Manage discovery processes, including subpoenas, depositions, and medical record requests.
  • Assist in preparing trial-related documents, including witness lists, exhibit binders, and motions in limine.
  • Maintain case deadlines and manage legal calendars, ensuring compliance with filing timelines.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses for attorneys.
  • Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and gather case-related information.
  • Organize and manage subrogation liens and settlement documents.
  • Assist in the management of expert witnesses, including scheduling and document preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and legal ethics requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in civil litigation or personal injury.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; paralegal certificate required.
  • Strong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and familiarity with Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with PACER and e-filing systems for federal and state courts.
  • Compliance with California’s Business and Professions Code section 6450.
