Seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead harvest activities during first shift. The manager will oversee safety, efficiency, and operational excellence across all beef slaughter operations.

  • Ensure product quality and compliance with USDA regulations
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment
  • Optimize plant operations to reduce costs and boost revenue
  • Supervise teams including inspectors, machine operators, and fabricators
  • Analyze production schedules, charts, and reports to assess output and plan requirements
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to align departmental activities
  • Develop shift schedules, assign tasks, and manage production flow
  • Inspect equipment and materials for defects or malfunctions
  • Train new employees on equipment use and safety procedures
  • Monitor product yields and maintain quality standards
  • Observe operations and ensure adherence to processing benchmarks
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues
  • Interpret technical documents and company policies for staff
  • Lead 5S implementation and maintenance
  • Make strategic decisions across slaughter operations to support business goals

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven conflict resolution abilities
  • Prior leadership experience in the meat processing industry
  • Proficient in computer systems and production software
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
