IT Manager - Food Manufacturing (ERP Implementation & Business Support)
This small innovative food manufacturer in Brampton is actively looking for an IT Manager. You will oversee IT systems, including ERP implementation, supporting the business functions such as financial forecasting, budgeting, rolling out new systems, and providing general IT support for the company. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operation and effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
IT Manager Details:
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. Once a month, an early start for inventory count (around 6:00 AM).

- Bonus: 7.5% discretionary based on your performance
- Salary: $100K - $120K, based on qualifications
IT Manager Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance and the General Manager to support business functions such as financial forecasting, budgeting, and system enhancements.
- Lead and support ERP implementation projects, ensuring smooth integration with business processes.
- Provide basic IT support to the company, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring network stability.
- Work with the Production team to assess and improve business processes, providing feedback on system efficiency and challenges.
- Develop, test, and roll out new IT systems and processes, ensuring they meet business needs and improve overall productivity.
- Support the ongoing maintenance, security, and updates of ERP and other key business systems.
- Coordinate with third-party IT support vendors to address any technical issues or system upgrades.
- Implement and maintain processes that support ERP solutions, ensuring their alignment with company goals.
- Monitor system performance, conduct audits, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that IT projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the company’s business requirements.
- Manage the deployment of new technology solutions across the company, including training and user support.
- Enforce IT system policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Oversee data security, ensuring all company systems and information are protected from unauthorized access.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation for all IT processes, solutions, and updates.
- Perform regular backups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure disaster recovery protocols are in place.
IT Manager Requirements:
- College or University diploma/degree in computer science, business, or a related field, combined with project management experience.
- PMP Certification is an asset.
- 4+ years of experience managing IT systems and/or ERP solutions (e.g., Just Food & Beverage, Microsoft Navision, SAP, JD Edwards).
- Proven experience with project management and IT systems implementation.
- Strong understanding of business functions including finance, operations, and inventory management in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems integration, financial forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivated to grow professionally and take on new responsibilities within the organization.
