Our client, a leading company in the agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across three facilities in South Saskatchewan. This role will primarily focus on ensuring the effective operation of preventative maintenance programs, managing a small team of technicians, and ensuring optimal equipment performance at their Swift Current and Success, Saskatchewan locations.

 

 

Maintenance Manager Details

• Monday thru Friday – Overtime as required

• Salary Range - $70,000.00 – 90,000.00

• 3 weeks vacation

• Benefits after 90 days

 

 

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall preventative maintenance program for all equipment and systems across the three plants.

• Supervise and mentor a small team of maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient task allocation and continuous development.

• Oversee maintenance operations across three locations: two in Swift Current and one in Success (short drive from Swift Current).

• Address and resolve mechanical failures, ensuring optimal performance of critical grain equipment like cleaners, splitting equipment, de-stoners, dryers, conveyors, and other machinery.

• Manage routine and emergency corrective and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

• Ensure maintenance operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, keeping accurate records of activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory.

• Collaborate with production teams and other departments to address equipment performance issues and minimize disruption to operations.

• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

• Ensure safety by de-energizing equipment prior to starting maintenance activities and working in compliance with safety protocols.

 

Maintenance Manager Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the agricultural or food manufacturing sector.

• Proven experience managing or supervising small teams of technicians and coordinating maintenance activities across multiple sites.

• Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.

• Inter-provincial Red Seal Millwright or Mechanic Certification or similar qualification.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, WHMIS, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with technicians, production staff, and management.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
