We are seeking highly motivated Senior Business Development Executives with a strong background in plant engineering and industrial services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts within the process manufacturing sectors. This is a hybrid hunting and farming role, ideal for professionals who thrive in building relationships, closing complex deals, and driving strategic growth across engineering and operations environments.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the key point of contact for strategic clients across target industries, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term engagement.
New Business Development (70%):
Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across key target industries (e.g., consumer goods, beauty, baby care, feminine care, family care).
Build and maintain executive-level relationships (C-level, Plant Heads, Procurement, Engineering).
Develop tailored proposals and lead contract negotiations.
Account Growth (30%):
Expand wallet share within existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.
Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and align service offerings such as CAPEX projects, maintenance engineering, or plant digitalization initiatives.
Project Oversight: Coordinate internally with technical and delivery teams to ensure projects meet expectations for scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
Operational Accountability:
Monitor key account metrics including invoicing, collections, pipeline tracking, and revenue forecasts.
Provide timely reports and maintain CRM discipline.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client challenges to shape winning strategies and differentiated service proposals.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
MBA preferred but not required.
Experience:
8–15 years of experience in business development or account management roles.
Industry exposure to process, beauty, baby, feminine, or family care manufacturing preferred.
Prior experience selling engineering services or plant operations/technology solutions is highly desirable.
Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and navigating complex decision-making structures.
Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to closure.
