We are seeking a dedicated Scale Service Technician Level I to calibrate and repair industrial scales in the field. This role requires independent work, strong technical skills, and the ability to solve problems efficiently. Upon completing calibrations, the technician will input data into calibration software and generate Certificates of Calibration for customers. Some overtime, weekend work, and occasional overnight travel may be required.
Duties: Including but not limited to:
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of industrial scales.
- Respond to emergency service calls to repair customer scales, which may occur during or outside of normal working hours.
- Enter calibration data into software and create calibration certificates.
- Work some overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.
- Maintain consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical, electronic, or technical background in an industrial environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Class B CDL license, welding, and concrete knowledge are a plus.
- Two-year technical degree preferred but not required.
- Military service or calibration experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer software.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Commitment to excellence: Accuracy in work and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems methodically.
- Effective communication with customers and team members to provide excellent service.
- Ability to contribute to a positive team environment.
- Local travel with occasional overnight stays required.
Work Environment:
- Fieldwork and travel required.
- Varying physical demands based on tasks performed in different locations.
