We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Engineer to lead the identification of issues impeding product flow, applying lean principles to alleviate process bottlenecks and reduce work in progress (WIP). This includes management of the IE operators and technicians, providing direction, and developing their capability and performance.
 
Duties: Including but not limited to:
  • Implement site lean activities such as 5S, standard work, visual management, pace to takt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 8D to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
  • Foster the professional development of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers by acting as a proactive change agent who drives a continuous improvement (CI) culture.
  • Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes, sequences, layouts, and flow to enhance efficiency.
  • Track and lead continuous improvement activities across all functional areas, including manufacturing and office operations.
  • Develop detailed plans, manage project performance, and ensure the timely completion of improvement initiatives and achievement of savings goals.
  • Design and plan equipment and machine layouts, workflows, and safety measures to maximize plant and manufacturing facility utilization.
  • Own and manage equipment capital expenditures, including design, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and site leadership team to develop a continuous improvement roadmap that drives best-in-class performance.
  • Create and enhance capacity models, production planning tools, and time standards to support operational excellence.
 
Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience and 3 years in a management role.
  • Proven skills in data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving within industrial services.
  • Demonstrated success in applying throughput improvement processes.
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities and focus on critical tasks effectively.
